Blaze of Hope is proud to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by lighting iconic landmarks in gold across the globe. Each year, these landmarks shine brightly to raise awareness and show support for children and families affected by childhood cancer. Throughout September, landmarks from bustling city centers to serene natural settings are illuminated in gold, symbolizing hope and solidarity in the fight against childhood cancer.
Here’s a glimpse of some of the landmarks that have been lit gold by Blaze of Hope:
Aloha Tower in Honolulu, HI, has been glowing gold for the entire month of September, symbolizing our commitment to this important cause.
On September 1st, landmarks like the Mid-Hudson Bridge in Highland, NY, and the Wells Fargo Tower in Charlotte, NC, joined the initiative.
From September 1st to September 7th, the CN Tower in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and JL Tower in Anchorage, AK, lit up to show their support.
Times Square in New York City, and the SkyWheel in Myrtle Beach, SC, were among those that turned gold on September 2nd.
Western Australia participated with multiple landmarks, including the Joondalup Drive Bridge and Matagarup Bridge, lighting gold on September 3rd.
Iconic structures such as Niagara Falls and Sunshine Skyway Bridge in St. Petersburg, FL, continued to light up gold throughout the month.
Each of these landmarks stands as a beacon of hope, reminding us all of the importance of raising awareness and supporting the fight against childhood cancer.
